Quarterly Community Forums Coordinator
One service we would like to offer residents is an opportunity to hold small community forums with the intended purpose to educate and create awareness. These would be held at the same location as our annual membership meeting at Worthington Christian Villiage. Several residents have expressed interest in having speakers, community members, police or fire personnel, or other members of the community to come in to offer expert advice on a wide variety of topics. These topics could include, but are not limited to: CPR training, home/fire safety, accounting/tax advice or service, real estate experts, financial advice/services, education on popular phone apps kids are using, etc. The ideas and options are limitless. The idea would be for this person to gauge interest in various topics from residents (most likely through Facebook) and coordinate dates, times, and location to bring in the speakers. We would like to hit all demographics - info sessions for kids, parents, and older adults. The speaking engagement would be on a voluntary basis.
Digital Media/Advertising Specialist
We are currently looking for anyone who would be interested in designing and developing our flyers for neighborhood events that are delivered to residents. We have several templates already created and have past examples that we can share, but anyone with a creative mind who enjoys desiging would be perfect for this position! This person would create the design with all the essential info related to the event on the flyer and forward to our communications director, James Defrancesco. The association would take care of forwarding the advertising flyers on to our printer and placing the order.
Social Committee
We do have coordinators for this, but can always use help planning, setting up and tearing down for events. Contact Erin Campbell at social@myohca.org for more details and find out ways you can help!
